Hi! I am Alena!
I am a multifaceted designer and I am passionate about making this world a better place through application of good design. My formal training is in Architecture, however I found myself growing increasingly interested in learning aspects of Graphic Design, Branding, and Storytelling as these fields play such a crucial role in shaping user experience in both digital and physical spaces. I see architecture and branding as an opportunity to create impactful and purposeful environments.

hackathons
July 21-22, 2018
Winner of ‘Best Use of Data’ award
Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of young professionals including a programmer, a cost estimator consultant, and an architectural technologist in a 24 hour intensive hackathon to address issues related to AEC industry. Our solution was an interactive cost estimating Revit plugin that allowed designers to be able to integrate cost awareness into early design process in hopes to help them avoid value engineering in the future and reduce probability of elimination of crucial design components. We devised a dashboard called ‘Palette’ that enabled designers to upload BIM models and assign options of materials to analyze cost impacts for a project.
